MG Continuing Education for Registered Nurses

The Connecticut Nurses’ Association is offering an online continuing education course for Registered Nurses focusing on Myasthenia Gravis that will be available until September 1, 2011. All others completing this program can receive a certificate of attendance.

The Connecticut Nurses’ Association is Accredited as a Provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center‘s Commission on Accreditation.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses to become more familiar with Myasthenia Gravis. The objectives of the course include the following topics:

  • Define Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
  • State the Cause of MG
  • State Who is Affected and Life Expectancy
  • Describe the Clinical Presentation of MG
  • List the Factors that Effect Symptoms
  • Describe How MG is Diagnosed and Treated
  • List Drugs that Adversely Effect MG

June is National Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month!

The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America has dedicated June as MG Awareness month. People across the country are mobilizing to bring attention to MG to raise awareness and funds to find a cure.

Monday, June 7, 2010 at 7AM the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America will be featured live on the Early Show on CBS!
